Weekend Weather in Coweta: Rain again, then cold moves in

Another weekend, another forecast with rain. The latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Peachtree City has a rain chance beginning today through Sunday.
Look for a 60 percent rain chance today, then only 20 percent on Saturday and then 90 percent on Sunday as a strong cold front moves through.
Highs today and Saturday near 67 degrees. On Sunday, the high will reach 65 before the cold front moves through and the temperature plummets into the 30s later in the evening.
Below is the day-by-day forecast (as of 7:30 a.m.) by the NWS:
TODAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely before 3pm, then a chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 67. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
SATURDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers before 3pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
SUNDAY – Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 65. South wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.
