Weather: Hot and humid for Coweta County this weekend

Another summer weekend, another similar forecast for Coweta County – hot and humid with a chance of a pop-up shower or thunderstorm.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect high temperatures today, Saturday and Sunday to be near 89 degrees with overnight lows around 70. Rain chances are listed at 30 percent on Friday, and 50 percent both Saturday and Sunday.

FRIDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

FRIDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph.

SATURDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.

SUNDAY – A chance of thunderstorms before 8am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

MONDAY – A chance of thunderstorms before 8am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
