Weather: Rain chances increase beginning Wednesday

The National Weather Service says to expect rain chances to increase beginning Wednesday as remnants of Tropical Storm Nicholas begin to reach Georgia and Coweta County.
The work week begins today and Tuesday under mostly sunny skies with little or no chance of rain. Folks can expect a high temperature today of 88 degrees and near 82 on Tuesday. Overnight lows will be near 66 degrees both evenings.
Then on Wednesday, rain chances rise to 40 percent for the rest of the week as Nicholas makes it way to the northeast following landfall on the Texas-Louisiana coastal region.
High temperatures will be in the low 80s from mid-week through the weekend.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.
TUESDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Calm wind.
WEDNESDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.
THURSDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.
FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 83.
SATURDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 84.
