The hot, humid summer pattern continues this work week here in Coweta County.
The National Weather Service says to expect daily high temperatures of 93 degrees with a chance of an afternoon shower or thunderstorm.
Tuesday’s heat index will be near 98 degrees.
Below is the day-by-day forecast (as of 6 a.m. today) from the NWS:
Monday – A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 98. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Wednesday – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 93.
Friday – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 93.
