Weather Week in Coweta: Rain early, then temps back in the 90s

The Weather Week will start out a little wet, but more drier conditions move in later says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
Folks in Coweta County can expect partly sunny to mostly sunny skies for much of the week, even though rain chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms begin today at 50 percent before dropping to 40 percent on Tuesday and 20 percent on Wednesday. High temperatures will return to the low 90s on Wednesday and last through Friday.
Sunny skies are forecast for Thursday and just a slight chance (20 percent) of a shower is expected for Friday.
Low temperatures all week will be near 72 degrees.

MONDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Patchy dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 90. Heat index values as high as 99. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
MONDAY NIGHT – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
TUESDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Heat index values as high as 99. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
