Weekend Weather in Coweta: High temps return to 90s

Summer is here and this weekend’s high temperatures will certainly reflect it, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
Folks can expect mostly sunny skies throughout the weekend as the 90-degree weather will start today with a forecast high of 90. On Saturday, the expected high will be 92 and on Sunday 94. Lows will be near 70.
Rain chances are listed at 30 percent Friday and 30 percent Sunday afternoon, increasing to 50 percent that night. No rain is expected on Saturday but it will be gusty with Northwest winds at 5-10 mph, gusting to 20 at times.

FRIDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. Heat index values as high as 97. West wind around 5 mph.
FRIDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 71. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 92. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
SATURDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 69. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
SUNDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Sunny, with a high near 94. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
SUNDAY NIGHT – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70.
