Weekend Weather in Coweta: Warm, mostly sunny with a chance of rain

The Memorial Day weekend forecast appears to be a mix of mostly sunny skies and a chance of showers and thunderstorms each afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
High temperatures will be in the mid-80s with lows in the mid-60s. Rain chances are 40 percent today, 30 percent on Saturday, 40 percent on Sunday and 50 percent on Memorial Day.
The rain chances are primarily for afternoons, generally after 2 p.m.
Below is the day-by-day forecast (subject to change) from the NWS:
FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 85. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 10 mph in the morning.
FRIDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 65. South wind around 5 mph.
SATURDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 87. West wind around 5 mph.
SUNDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind.
MEMORIAL DAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 84.
